You Carry Heaven's Authority
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." - Luke 10:19
Read those words again. Let them sink in. This isn't just a beautiful verse to cross-stitch on a pillow—this is your spiritual reality right now, in this moment.
The Disconnect Between Heaven's View and Your Experience
While you're walking around feeling defeated, overwhelmed by circumstances, and wondering if you'll make it through another day, heaven sees something entirely different. Heaven sees you as more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). There's a massive disconnect between how you see yourself and how God sees you.
The enemy has convinced you that you're barely hanging on, that you're lucky to survive whatever storm you're facing. But God says you're not just surviving—you're crushing every obstacle under your feet.
Resurrection Power Lives in You
Consider this staggering truth: the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives inside you (Romans 8:11). That's not symbolic language. That's literal resurrection power flowing through your veins right now. The same power that spoke galaxies into existence, that parted the Red Sea, that raised the dead—that power has made its home in you.
Ephesians 1:19 describes God's "incomparably great power" that's available to those who believe. Incomparably great. That means there's nothing in all creation that can match it. And it's not just available to super-spiritual people or ancient apostles. It's available to you, right where you are.
The Enemy's Greatest Fear
Satan's strategy isn't to convince you that God doesn't exist—it's to make you forget who you are in Christ. He trembles when you remember you carry heaven's authority. He knows that a believer who understands their identity is unstoppable.
The enemy whispers lies about your inadequacy, your failures, your limitations. But 1 John 4:4 declares a truth that silences every accusation: "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." The God of the universe doesn't just fight for you—He fights from within you.
Stop Cowering Before Powerless Circumstances
Those circumstances that seem so overwhelming, so permanent, so impossible to overcome? They have no power over your destiny. None. They might be real, they might be challenging, but they are not your master.
You've been given authority over serpents and scorpions—over every scheme, every attack, every strategy the enemy can devise. Jesus didn't say you might have this authority if you pray hard enough or fast long enough. He said you have it. Period.
The Battle is Already Won
Here's what changes everything: the enemy has already been defeated at the cross. This isn't a fight to determine the winner—it's a fight to enforce a victory that's already been secured. You're not hoping to overcome; you're walking in the reality that you already have overcome.
The cross didn't just forgive your sins. It shattered every chain, broke every curse, and stripped the enemy of all legitimate authority over your life. When Jesus said "It is finished," He meant it.
Walk in What's Already Yours
Stop asking God to give you victory. Start thanking Him for the victory you already have. Stop begging for power. Start walking in the power that's already yours. Stop hoping things will change. Start declaring the change that's already happened in the spiritual realm.
You are not a victim of circumstances. You are not at the mercy of your past. You are not powerless against the enemy's schemes.
You are a child of the Most High God, carrying heaven's authority, equipped with resurrection power, and positioned as more than a conqueror. The same Jesus who walked on water, calmed storms, and conquered death lives inside you.
Now stop cowering and start walking like you believe it.
The enemy's greatest victory is keeping you ignorant of your true identity. His greatest defeat is when you remember who you are in Christ.
