Two job listings, a cost of living calculator, an apartment search three states away, a map of the nearest recovery meetings in a city where I know no one, and spreadsheets where I have tried to make the decision add up on paper since I cannot make it add up in my head. The promotion is real and the money is good, and my wife keeps asking, gently, whether I am ever going to close those tabs one way or the other. I tell her I am still thinking.
